![]() ![]() I have looked at several other sites (like Artspecifier, Saatchi Art, UGallery, Artspan, Gallery Today, Zatista, etc.). I like what you said about the Artist Relationship staff, so maybe that is worth paying extra for. However, I am willing to pay for quality, I just want to be sure that's what Artful Home is. I have been hesitant though, because of the upfront cost, high commission rates, and eclectic nature of the types of items offered (rather than just fine art). Jonathan, I have been considering Artful Home for some time now, because it has been recommended by my artist career coach, and she says that several of her other artists have done well there. PS Artful Home was originally a tightly curated site named The Guild, which offered only fine art. Does anybody have recommendations for other sites wherein work is offered in the high four-figure price point? Sites like etsy are far below my price point. ON THE OTHER HAND, I know of no other online galleries that deliver dependable results. And, need I really say it, the human connection is a driving force. I know of no other sites wherein so much effort is put into marketing. It has been mentioned that the commission is steep. In summation, I think the Artful Home is a wonderful venue for an artist whose work fits into their online gallery "program," and is ready to spend time uploading new work on at least bi-weekly basis. Some of the top "Artist Relationship " folks have already expressed excitement on how that sub-tropical environment will express in my work. I am about to create more landscapes inspired by Florida, since I will be moving there later next month. Furthermore, the people with whom artists deal directly (for me, often on a weekly basis) are absolutely delightful and are always ready to help me in anyway they can. That being said, I have indeed done well with the Artful Home. In fact, I have set up four different sites for my artwork so as not to confuse people who do not understand the wide ranging interests and expressions of a later career artist. I don't find this different from usual business practice in any field consistency is good for one's presence in what I would assume to be any site. ![]() My experience with Artful Home is that one must set up develop a subjective and aesthetic "brand", and then stick with it. That is work for which I will need to find different outlets. I sell steadily, though not copiously, through the Artful Home, and recently my work has changed in terms of aesthetic interest and expression. I came across this thread because I had asked my iPhone to do a search on how many catalogs the Artful Home sends out in one mailing, because I have been lucky enough to be one of the artists selected for inclusion in the upcoming Fall 2015 catalog.
